Day 1 : Arrival to Istanbul : One of our colleagues will be waiting for you at the arrival hall bearing a sign with your name on it. You will be greeted by a courteous member of our staff who will load your luggage into our midi-van and take you directly to your hotel. Accommodation in Istanbul.
Day 2 : Istanbul City Tour : Pick up time is about 08.30 from the hotel. You will visit : Topkapi Palace (Harem section is extra), Blue Mosque, Roman Hippodrome. After lunch you will see: St.Sophia Museum, Caferaga Madrasah, Million stone, Tomb of Sultan Mahmud and ancient Ottoman cemetery, Cemberlitas (Burnt Column) and the tour ends about 16:30 with free time at the Grand Bazaar. You will be advised by your guide for getting back to your hotel on your own. Please note that Hagia Sophia closed on Mondays, Topkapi Palace closed on Tuesdays and Grand Covered Bazaar closed on Sundays. (lunch on the tour) - Accommodation in Istanbul
Day 3: Bosphorus Cruise and Flight to Cappadocia: (check out from hotel in the morning) You will be picked up from your hotel at around 08:30, and the tour starts with Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar). This area is one of the most crowded sites of Eminonu since there are many shops selling cheese, olives, eggs, meat products, dried fruits and peddlers everywhere. You can have a short stop on your way to drink a glass of “Tursu Suyu – Pickle Juice”. There is Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi, the famous Turkish coffee store at the end of the street. This is an excellent place to buy Turkish coffee in the city. Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar) is one of the most colorful sites in the city. Once, the Bazaar was the last stop of the Silk Road from where all the commodities carried on camels from India and Far East was delivered to Europe with ships. Today, it is still very popular among the locals who want to buy spices, sweets, cheese and dried fruits. There are also shops selling souvenirs and jewellery. When you come out of the Spice Market, you will see Yeni Cami (also called The New Mosque or the actual name Valide Sultan Mosque) constructed in 1665. There are bird seeders in front of Mosque and the people sitting on the marble stairs viewing the Golden Horn bridge. Later, you will embark the boat for Bosporus Tour. This a large, safe and comfortable public boat with open and covered areas convenient for any weather conditions. You may buy snacks and drinks in the boat. The cruise takes about 1,5 hours and you will see Ciragan Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace, Bosporus Bridges, Maiden’s Tower and fabulous Ottoman Yalis (sea-side Mansions) during your tour. Your guide will be with you on the boat to give you information about the places you see on the tour. The tour ends with free time in Eminonu at around 12:00 from where you may either visit Spice Market again for shopping or have a walk over the Golden Horn Bridge. The guide is going to recommend you the best way to get your hotel on your own. Free afternoon to explore the area. You will be picked up from your hotel at around 14:40 to be transferred to Ataturk Airport to take an afternoon flight to Kayseri. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Cappadocia. Accommodation in Cappadocia. (breakfast at hotel)
Day 4 : First Day in Cappadocia : The tour starts about 09.30 am from your hotel in the morning, you´ll drive to Devrent Valley where the geographical formations remind a place of another planet. Then in Pasabagi, you´ll take a stroll between the amazing fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. From there driving to Avanos to have lunch. After having the lunch you leave from Avanos to see the most beautiful examples of Byzantine art in Goreme Open Air Museum. Then you´ll drive to Uchisar Castle, the highest point of the region, where you will have a fabulous panoramic view over Cappadocia. Then return to the hotel about 17.30. Day 5 : Second Day in Cappadocia : Depart from your hotel at 09.30 am for a tour on a 4km hike through the Rose Valley visiting the churches. Afterwards visit the old Christian village of Cavusin. Stop for lunch in Pigeons Valley and then continue on to see the marvel of construction that is the Kaymakli Underground City. You will also visit the Ortahisar Natural Rock Castle. Day 6 : Flight to Ephesus and Free Day : You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and transfer to airport to take a flight to Izmir. You will be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Ephesus. Free afternoon in this nice summer resort. (breakfast at the hotel) - Accommodation in Ephesus. Please note that there are limited flights on some days of the week between Izmir and Kayseri. We will advise you the available flights suitable with your schedule
Day 7 : Pamukkale Travertine and Hieropolis Ancient City : After breakfast, departure Pamukkale about 08.30 am which is the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertine and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. It is for its resemblance to cotton piles that it is called ´Cotton Castle´ in Turkish. Visit the travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis which has the biggest Necropolis with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath. Day 8 : Ephesus Tour and Flight to Istanbul: Pick up from the hotel about 08.30 am for the daily tour of the ancient city of Ephesus. You will visit Ephesus which is known to be the Commercial, the Religious and the Social Center of Antiquity, and one of the Highlights of any Visit in Turkey. After the lunch, you will drive to Temple of Artemis (Diana), the site of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world; House of Virgin Mary, probably where She spent recent years of Her life; Isa Bey Mosque, this impressive mosque from XIV. Century A.D. is unlike any other you will see in this country. You will be transferred to the airport for an early evening flight to Istanbul. Your tour ends with arrival to Istanbul airport.
