11:00 Depart for Eceabat from Istanbul. (Also departs from Kusadasi & Selcuk)
There will be a comfort stop half way at a station/cafeteria, where you can buy lunch.
16:00 Arrive & check into accommodation, welcome dinner.

8:00 - 10:00 Breakfast awaits.
8:30 Documentary: The Fatal Shore
Children’s Day celebrations start in the town centre at 9am. Great chance to see the traditional folk dances of the area. This is a free display with music & traditional folk dancing.
13:00 Lunch at a local restaurant & commencing Gallipoli tour. Drive to the Gallipoli Battlefields & ANZAC sites. 5 hour tour visiting:
• Kabatepe War Museum
• Beach Cemetery (John Simpson's grave)
• ANZAC Cove
• Ari Burnu - first ANZAC landing place
• Dawn Service Site – seeing the layout will give you an idea of where to head for good views
• Lone Pine - main Australian memorial
• Johnson's Jolly - walk in the original ANZAC & Turkish trenches & view the tunnels
• Turkish memorial
• The Nek - main scene depicted in the movie Gallipoli
• Chunuk Bair - main memorial for the New Zealand soldiers
Already toured Gallipoli with us before? Then you could use the day to go exploring in the trenches.
24th April 2013, TUE - Gallipoli Peninsula
8:00 - 10:00 Breakfast awaits. Today gives you a chance to see the international service in Cape Helles. The rest of the day is free for you to do as you please. A good sleep in the late afternoon is recommended. Take the opportunity to experience a traditional Turkish bath, check out the town of Eceabat, walk to the castle in the next village or visit the ruins of Troy & stock up on munchies for the big day to come.
18:00 Check out of your room & place your bags in the luggage compartment of your bus, ready for your return journey after the services.
19:00 Join the convoy of Backpackers Travel buses for departure to the Dawn Service site where we will grab a space in the large crowd & wait, listening to the pre dawn program.
25th April 2013, WED - ANZAC Day Services
05:30 Dawn Service commences as the sun breaks the skyline behind the Turkish Sphinx.
07:30 While waiting for your bus to transfer you to the next service you can eat breakfast on the grass with the group or feel free to tell your leader that you want to go exploring; take your breakfast pack & walk the ridges & old trenches to the next service. Australian &/or New Zealand National services. (Service times for these have yet to be released)
Lunch at a restaurant back in town.
Late afternoon: Depart for Istanbul. The bus will drop you off as close to your accommodation as possible. There will be a comfort stop en-route where you can buy dinner.
